Time to be serious. . .

There are times when a dad should be serious. One of those times is during disciplining the child. Well, I can tell you, Lucas does not believe he is in trouble when Dad is laughing. He has started dropping food over the edge of the high chair tray. He cannot see the dog, but he knows he's down there somewhere. Well, Dad must head off this michevious behavior. Last night, Lucas was trying to get his little hand out over the edge of the tray to drop his banana on the floor. Dad was blocking his little hand safely inside the perimeter of the tray, and telling Lucas, "No, no!" Lucas tried going right. Dad was there. He tried going left. Dad was there. He faked up and went down, but Dad was there to block the path. Then Lucas looked Dad right in the eyes, and threw the banana straight up over his head! Dad could not stop laughing, and "No, no!" strikes no fear when said with a smile.
