Waving at the neighbors. . .

Lucas is getting so smart. He really understands things better all the
time. It is amazing to watch things "click." Lucas has a LeapPad that is
basically an interactive book. When you touch pictures, they make noises,
etc. He never really showed any interest in it, so it has been on a
shelf for a while. Last night he drug it out, and he was doing pretty
darn good. He does not say all that many words, but he really
understands us. Sometimes, we can talk him out of things instead of
saying "No, no!" constantly. He understands things like "Where are your
shoes?" He will go to his room, and he usually brings back a pair that
match. I love just watching him figure things out. Lucas would be
happy just sitting in the front yard every evening so he could wave at
all the cars that go by. I forgot that is fun.
