New degree of freedom. . .
Lucas figured out how to sit up by himself last night. He could sit before if we sat him up, but now he can get up there himself. He did it 4 or 5 times, so he's got it now. He thinks he's hot stuff! He really likes sitting, and he pleads with us often to sit him up. Now he can do it himself.
He started shaking his head “no” a lot. At this point, I am sure it is just fun, but we started shaking our heads and telling him “yes” whenever he shakes his head “no.” Now, when we say “yes” he says “no.” It seems way too early to start that!
He is still not quite crawling, but he does not let that hinder his travels. He used to just roll wherever he wanted to go. Now, he turns the direction he wants to go and scoots (army crawls) like a mad man. He also loves to walk around holding our fingers. His balance is getting better. He may just skip crawling altogether.
We have a CD tower that holds 8x10” pictures. Last night, he scooted over to the tower and was looking at the bottom picture of Chris and me. He kept touching my face and then Chris’ face. I am sure he could recognize us in the picture.
