It's a boy!

Welcome to Lucas Kaden! He was born via c-section on Friday, March 5 at 6:02 pm. He's a big boy, 7 lbs 15 oz. He's getting a jump on his short folks at 21 inches.

Lucas has had a rough first day. He is not breathing too bell, so he's had to have some help in that department. The docs think that he has a blocked nasal passage. Since babies only know to breathe through their noses, he was not getting enough oxygen.

They flew him to Omaha last night. The condition is not critical, but they wanted to get a jump on treating him. He will probably have surgery on Monday or so to fix the problem. I drove down last night, and Chris will be coming down tomorrow when she is
released from the Kearney hospital.

Things are not too bad. The problem appears to be correctable. He seems to be in good hands. Everything else healthwise seems to be ok. Praise God for this baby! After we get this one little deal whipped, he'll be perfect.
